If you haven’t seen the Book of Eli movie yet, you owe it to yourself to see it. It is a riveting tale of a man on a mission. He loves God, and he knows his Bible. And he is singular in focus-nothing else matters except the mission he received from God.
As with any good hero story, he has to fight the bad guys, and he does a lot of damage. He is street smart and savvy to the wiles of his enemies. He knows how to fight, he knows what his mission is, and he relies on direction and protection from God.
Is this not our story? Are we not choosing to turn into the wind, faces resolute to the mission we’ve been given? For this purpose we train together, to sharpen our skills and quicken our reflexes at any scent of danger.
